Playroom

I had some star pegs lying around, so I painted them up.

Farron scewed them to the wall (they had useless fasteners on them) and hung juite rope between them. We now have a place to hang our artwork!

If only this were our complete collection.
the box of finger paints came from the estate sale down the road. The paints are all dried up and probably full of lead. There is also an aged roll of paper, so come on over and paint me a "vintage" work of art.

My Project

I had a pair of cheap picture frames in the basement. One was missing the glass, so I decided to remodel them. This method didn't work.

So, Elliot did this with it.

Think we could auction of his artwork? We could start his college fund.

The finished product! I ended up using squeeze n' brushes. I believe they were Elmer's brand. Frames to be hung in the playroom for artwork. The masterpiece on the left is Elliot's bingo dobber painting. Colorations watercolors in a bingo bottle. Easy. Washable. Fun. Minimal supervision needed. I'll be making the other frame into a chalkboard, as soon as you tell me where to buy the paint?!

Space Mud

2 cups white glue
1 1/2 cups water at room temperature
food coloring or colorations water color

1 cup hot water
2 1/2 level tbsp 20 mule team borax

Combine glue and room temp. water. Add food coloring or colorations.

In larger bowl, combine hot water and borax, stirring until the borax is completely dissolved. Slowly pour glue mixture into the borax mixture. (You must do this exactly - glue mixture into the borax mixture, or it may not work.)

Squeeze space Mud between fingers until most of the water is worked out. (There will be some water left.)

This mixture will not stick to dry surfaces. Kids (and adults) can cut Space mud with a plastic knife, cut with scissors, tear it, watch it slowly melt off the edge of the table. It even bounces! Lasts indefinitely in an air tight container.

Credit goes to Brenda Webb for this recipe and write up.
